Where do you all recycle or donate your old running shoes?
Main Post:
I have a few pairs that are at their end of life but don’t want to just toss them in trash...I prefer to drop them in a recycle or donation bin or something dedicated to old shoes....preferably somewhere in Manhattan.

Where can I donate well-worn shoes?
Main Post:
I'm having trouble finding a sort of donation center that will accept well-worn shoes. I have like a hundred pairs of decently well-worn shoes accumulated over like two decades. These shoes range from rarely worn (but like twenty years old), to kind of battered but still usable for those who really need it, to kind-of-worn but totally reusable second hand. So, none of them are "like new" or "gently used", which is what I've found all these donation centers require, like shoe recycling programs or local churches.
I can't for the life of me find an "in-between" for these kinds of places that require "like new"/"gently used" shoes vs. just throwing it in the trash and these shoes ending up in a landfill. I think all of these shoes can either be used second handed or refurbished for a second life to someone who really needs them.
And I really want to actually donate them, not just give them to someone else like Goodwill to sell for profit.
Does anyone have suggestions?

What streetwear shoes give you some extra height?
Main Post:
If you owned roshes before you know that they make you look a couple inches taller. Now me being short, a couple inches of height can go a long way.
What other streetwear related shoes can make me look a little taller?

Shoes that give a boost in height?
Main Post:
Which shoes (for men) give a boost like 2-3 inches in height, but aren't that noticeable. Like shoes that look normal and are casual and its not easy to tell that they are abnormally increasing your height. Maybe something like Nike or Adidas or something thats a known and normal brand.

A Woman’s Right to Shoes - Why did Carrie’s friend give in and pay for Carrie’s lost shoes?
Main Post:
I don’t catch on quick and am a bit naive so it might be a stupid question. I’ve just always been confused with that episode as to why Carrie’s friend gave in at the end and paid the full price for Carrie’s lost shoes.
She was very firm about not paying the full price at first, but after Carrie leaves a clearly sarcastic and smug voicemail saying she was marrying herself then she goes and buys her the shoes for full price? You would think she would’ve caught on that Carrie was being sarcastic and just brushed her off.
The only explanation I could come up with was either Carrie’s voicemail got the point across and she reconsidered her attitude or there was some ridiculous trend back then where people started marrying themselves and people would take you seriously unless they wanted to come off as an asshole. I mean the lady even sent a damn card with the shoes congratulating Carrie on marrying herself lmaoo. Anyway what do y’all think?
Top Comment: Carrie had bought her friend an engagement present, a wedding present, baby shower presents, new baby presents. Carrie was a single girl who had spent thousands on her married friends. Her married friends had never spent a penny on her. And yet shoe shamed her for wearing expensive shoes. Married women are allowed to celebrate themselves and demand expensive gifts from registries. And people pay for it. Single women aren't. Since Carrie knew her married friend would not see any reason to pay for the shoes, Carrie set up a wedding registry, to drive the point across.
